Hull FC complete Will Pryce signing after agreeing terms with NRL club
Hull FC finalize Will Pryce signing following agreement with NRL club
Hull FC have finalized the signing of Newcastle Knights half-back Will Pryce, with the player taking up his new role at the East Yorkshire club immediately following the two sides agreeing on a payment over the weekend.
The NRL team has given Pryce an immediate release to come back to England on personal and professional grounds. He will now join the Black and Whites, providing an immediate option to John Cartwright’s team in the spine roles.
Hull Live can confirm Hull have signed the 22-year-old on a three-and-a-half-year deal, with the player now due to make an imminent arrival at the club, who initially agreed a deal last month to sign the Bradford-born star, who was due to leave the NRL club at the end of the year on out-of-contract terms, to the club for the 2026 season.
But following inquiries into whether there could be an earlier transition, Hull, whose CEO is Richie Myler, have labored around the clock with the Knights to finalize a settlement, with the English half now freed from the rest of his NRL contract and free to sign for Cartwright’s team for the remainder of the 2025 season as well.
Rapidly suppressing opposition interest throughout Super League, Pryce will be emulating his dad, Leon, who played with Hull for two years in 2015 and 2016. The East Yorkshire side are believed to have secured Pryce on competitive terms, securing a solid replacement for Jordan Abdull, whom they released in January.

Since then, they made a profitable switch for Marc Sneyd, who, following a series of cash problems at Salford, signed for Warrington Wolves last month. But now the club have brought in one of their prime targets, finishing off an intriguing bit of business for this year as well as for the next few seasons.
Able to play either half-back or full-back, Pryce will bring some real pace and panache to Hull, having initially impressed in the Super League competition with Huddersfield Giants back in 2021. He is the club’s fourth 2025 mid-season signing, following prop forward trio Liam Knight, Liam Watts, and Sam Eseh.
A Knight’s statement, which recently announced a massive signing for Parramatta half Dylan Brown, stated: “Newcastle Knights have agreed to a request from Will Pryce, issuing an immediate release on compassionate grounds, to enable him to return home to England for personal and professional reasons.”.
Pryce has signed a multi-year deal in the Super League, and the Knights did not wish to get in the way of this chance to go back home to his family.
“The Newcastle Knights would like to thank Will for all his efforts over the last couple of years, and both parties have come to an agreement on keeping all details confidential and private.”
