Fox news13:Army suspends commander after Trump, Vance, Hegseth vanish from command board
Fox news13 – The Fort McCoy commander was removed from duty after the U.S. Army installation failed to post pictures of President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on a wall showing their chain of command.
Col. Sheyla Baez Ramirez was suspended as commander of Ft. McCoy in Wisconsin. “This suspension is unrelated to any misconduct,” the U.S. Army Reserve Command stated, “We have no further information to release at this time while this issue is under review.”
Hegseth on Sunday retweeted an X post stating: “Commander of Fort McCoy, whose base chain-of-command board had missing photos of Trump, Vance and Hegseth, has been SUSPENDED.”
It followed the Defense Department (DOD) announcing an investigation into why a wall with a display of the chain of command had frames missing on the wall where Trump, Vance and Hegseth photos would normally be found.
A fresh photo they uploaded of the wall indicated the frames had been filled.

“Regarding the Ft. McCoy Chain of Command wall controversy…. WE FIXED IT! Additionally, an investigation has commenced to determine exactly what occurred,” the department’s rapid response account wrote on X.
Ramirez took over as garrison commander last July.
She had most recently been the chief of the Reserve Program, United States Army Intelligence and Security Command at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and held other positions across the Army and Army Reserves.
The transfer followed a series of leadership changes throughout the U.S. military. The Pentagon earlier this month dismissed the base commander of Pituffik Space Force Base in Greenland after she “undermined” Vance.
Following the vice president’s visit,Fox news13 Base personnel were emailed by Col. Susannah Meyers on March 31 with the message, “I do not presume to understand current politics, but what I do know is the concerns of the U.S. administration discussed by Vice President Vance on Friday are not reflective of Pituffik Space Base.”
She went on to say that she had arranged to “think about Friday’s visit — the actions taken today, the words spoken today, and how it must have impacted each of you.”
The Space Force issued a public announcement that Meyers had arranged to be relieved of command “due to loss of confidence in her ability to command.”
“Commanders are held to the highest level of conduct, particularly as it pertains to maintaining nonpartisanship in carrying out their responsibilities,” the statement said.
And Hegseth dismissed four former aides following an in-fighting and a leak probe climax late last week.
The secretary attributed “disgruntled employees” to Fox news13 for releasing reports on a second Signal chat that featured Houthi attacks, this one involving his wife, brother and personal attorney on the chain.

Fox news13,A concert organizer who was involved in staging the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California, was said to have been “blindsided” by anti-Israel sentiments expressed by a rock band that played at the festival.
Irish hip-hop collective Kneecap issued “free Palestine” and “F–k Israel” calls during their performance on Friday at the Sonora tent. They also referred to genocide and criticized the U.S. military for backing Israel, The Hollywood Reporter reports.
“Kneecap followed up their Coachella performance on social media with several video posts regarding their ‘uncensored messaging’ and an appeal for young Americans to send the clips to President Trump, whom they referred to as a derogatory word that begins with a c,” the Hollywood Reporter continued.
Kneecap had last week insisted that they were censored for promoting anti-Margaret Thatcher chants and other anti-Israeli sentiments during their debut show, which was allegedly cut short before their performance finished.
The group doubled down at their latest performance at their weekend two show that angered the Jewish community. Sonora, a venue that normally showcases punk musicians, allegedly did not livestream their second performance when organizers were anticipating the group to double down on anti-Israel messages.
The band, established in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in 2017, is famously a politicized band that usually demands that Ireland break ties with British control. Nevertheless, Goldenvoice, the promoting company for Coachella, was surprised by the actions of Kneecap after Jewish communities contacted the promoting company to counter the anti-Israel comments.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that insiders explained that the Goldenvoice CEO, Paul Tollett, was “blindsided.” Fox news 13 The report also quotes music manager Scooter Braun in a defense of Tollett following the backlash against Kneecap’s set. “Paul is a good man and has been a vocal advocate on behalf of survivors of the Nova Music Festival,” Braun posted on his Instagram on Sunday.

Braun went on to say that Tollett had gone to a Los Angeles memorial display that he had set up to pay tribute to the hundreds who were killed in the October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorist attacks.
“He not only visited the display but stayed for five hours and later sat with survivors,” Braun said.Coachella has been no stranger to politically charged performances.

Schumer’s Apprentice The Fox news13 praise of Trump goes viral: ‘Going to go places’
Fox News 13 With former President Donald Trump’s reality TV show “The Apprentice” available on Amazon Prime last month, politically astute viewers tuned in to the episode following Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., now one of the president’s largest political critics, extolling it as pro-business New York.
In Season 5, Episode 8, of “The Apprentice” in 2006, contestants were assigned a task — as was common in each episode — and winners of the challenge had the opportunity to fly to the nation’s capital and break bread with Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. At breakfast, Schumer tried to compare his family with Trump’s, and lavished praise on the president, telling the contestants he always knew Trump, even as a young man, “was going to go places.”
“I was raised in Brooklyn, the same borough where Donald Trump’s family is from,” Schumer recalled to the contestants over breakfast at the esteemed Hay-Adams hotel in Washington, D.C. “His father, and my grandfather, were builders together in Brooklyn.”
The show then transitioned to Schumer praising Trump as a business whiz kid.
“Even when [Trump] was much younger, you knew that he was going places,” Schumer said, before one of the contestants in attendance at the breakfast cut in with a voice-over repeating that “Sen. Schumer and Mr. Trump are good friends.”
In spite of Schumer’s seemingly friendly demeanor with the president in 2006, as seen in his visit to Fox News 13“The Apprentice,” Schumer informed Politico in 2016, before Trump’s inaugural term, that, “[Trump] was not my friend.” Instead, Schumer referred to his connection with Trump as a “casual acquaintance.”
“Donald Trump is a lawless, angry man,” Schumer said of the president during an interview last month. “The fact that The Apprentice President Donald ‘You’re Fired’ Trump is refusing to hold people accountable just shows how weak he is,” Schumer added in a post on social media earlier this month.
Given Schumer’s rabid anti-Trump animosity today, Michigan State GOP Senator Aric Nesbitt, the minority leader of the Michigan Senate, had this to say in a post that featured Schumer’s resurfaced clip of his scene on “The Apprentice”: “How things change…”
But it’s not just Republicans enjoying a laugh at Schumer’s expense.
“As Schumer betrays our Constitution and democracy, you just have to watch this video of him brown-nosing Trump on an episode of the Apprentice,” said former Democratic Rhode Island legislator Aaron Regunberg. “What a world class slug of a man.”
In the brief period before entering office for his first term, Trump was questioned by MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski regarding whether he will be able to coexist with Democratic Congressional leaders like Schumer. Trump played a cordial note, responding then that he believed he would “be able to get along well with Chuck Schumer.”
“I was always great with Schumer. I was close to Schumer in so many ways,” Trump said then.
Over time, however,Fox News 13 Trump’s language toward Schumer has grown more and more critical of the senator, as the two political giants continue to battle over whatever political topic is dominating Washington each week.
Most recently, Trump lashed out at Schumer’s claimed insensitivity towards the Jewish people with the current upsurge of antisemitism, and most notably, on university campuses, following the Hamas Oct. 7, 2023 terror attacks against Israeli innocents. Schumer himself is Jewish.
“Schumer is a Palestinian, as far as I’m concerned,” Trump told reporters from the Oval Office last month. “He’s become a Palestinian. He used to be Jewish. He’s not Jewish anymore.”
Trump’s comments from earlier this month also mirror a similar sentiment he relayed about Schumer during his most recent campaign for the presidency, referring to him as a “proud member of Hamas.”

Aside from Schumer, there were other prominent public figures who have been appraising the then-president and later turned out to be his political foe years later. During an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 1988, the celebrity TV host seemed to be astonished at Americans’ “obsession” with Donald Trump and even referred to him as a “folk hero” because he was that popular.
In the meantime, celebrity music producer and co-founder of Def Jam Records Russell Simmons also had kind words to say about Trump prior to his political career, describing him as “very nice” and noting how good Trump has been to his family
based on reports in the media. Nevertheless, after the politically driven violence at Charlottesville during Trump’s initial term in office, Fox News 13 Simmons was quoted as criticizing his “friend” for spearheading the legacy of a “great divider,” and a “ruiner of the environment and … everything we as Americans have fought so hard to call ours.”
Fox News 13,Washington fails to pass proposals that would restrict trans athletes from competing against biological girls
Fox News 13 Two bills that would have barred transgender athletes from competing in girls and women’s sports in the state of Washington died on a Monday vote.
The amendments required 60% to pass — the proposal restricting girls sports participation to biological females received 31 of 53 votes (58.5%), and the other that would have established an open division for students other than boys and girls competitions — received only 24.5% (13 out of 53).
Washington state legislation already guards against discrimination against transgender people under the Washington Law Against Discrimination (WLAD). So even if the bills had passed, there remained another obvious obstacle in the path.
The Lynden school board suggested limiting the participation to only girls who were born female. That suggestion, Cascadia Daily reports, also would have created the boys division as an “open” category.
“It is clear to our girl athletes that competing against other athletes who have gone through male puberty is unfair,” Lynden superintendent David VanderYacht said, via the Cascadia Daily. “They asked us to address it, and the Lynden School Board is attempting to do so in a manner that respects and honors the dignity of all students.”
The Trump administration recently froze funding to Maine because the state refused to comply with President Donald Trump’s executive order stating transgender athletes should compete against the gender they were born with. But a federal judge ordered the administration to “unfreeze” the funds and is not permitted to revert “without following the legally mandated procedure.”
The USDA declared the freeze on funding and an examination of federal funding to Maine earlier this month after the state declined to offer equal opportunities to women and girls in educational programs.
Maine officials sued the USDA last week after the agency decided to freeze funding to the state.
The state charged the USDA with “withholding funding used to feed children in schools, childcare centers, and after-school programming as well as disabled adults in congregate settings,” a claim the judge accepted.
Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine,Fox News 13 recently urged the administration to “resolve” the issues it has with her state, stating she would continue to battle for federal funding for the state and also oppose transgender athletes in biological female sports.
